Care and Use
Furminator Deshedding Tools have a stainless steel, fine-toothed precision deshedding edge that does not cut, but gently removes the undercoat and loose hair from your pet without damaging the top coat. With proper usage and care, Furminator Deshedding Tools should not need to be replaced for the lifetime of the pet. Because of this, Furminator and Funny Fur does not guarantee against bent or broken teeth on the deshedding tools.
Tips to keep the deshedding edge of your tool in top condition:
Be sure to keep the protective edge cover on the deshedding tool when not in use.
Take care not to drop the tool, as doing so may break the teeth, especially if the protective cover is not on the edge.
Brush your pet before using the deshedding tool to remove any mats or tangles. Using the tool on matted or tangled fur can bend or break the teeth.
Use only on dry fur.
Clean the deshedding edge with warm water. A mild soap may be used if necessary. This can reduce the feeling of a dull edge due to dander collection in the teeth of the deshedding edge. Make sure to dry the deshedding edge completely before storing the tool with its protective cover. |
